About Lydia
I am a friendly and motivational Biology and Chemistry tutor who enjoys helping students reach their full potential. Having achieved eleven GCSEs and three A*s at A-Level in Maths, Biology and Chemistry, I understand the challenges of these subjects and the strategies needed to succeed in exams. I became a tutor because I enjoy helping students build confidence and achieve their goals. I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students look forward to each lesson. Whether you're aiming to improve your exam technique, revisit difficult topics or work towards the highest grades, I am here to help!

I believe that practising exam style questions is one of the most effective ways to build understanding, improve exam technique and achieve top grades. My lessons are typically one hour long which allows plenty of time to cover content before applying it to past paper questions and reviewing answers together. I achieved eleven GCSEs and three A*s at A-Level in Maths, Biology and Chemistry, giving me a strong background in the subjects I teach. I am currently reading Biochemistry at the University of Oxford. Alongside this, I have two years of badminton coaching experience and a year spent mentoring an A-Level Chemistry student helping me develop clear communication, patience and effective teaching skills. I offer tutoring in GCSE and A-Level Biology and Chemistry, tailoring each lesson to the student's needs while building their knowledge and confidence.
