About Sam
I have experience as a tutor throughout high school and college as a Math and Science tutor, so I am confident that I can assess a student's abilities and prescribe a good study plan for them. I have experienced the rigor of Purdue's STEM classes, so I am also confident that I can aid students in handling studying and burnout when it comes to difficult classes. The most important thing to me is that I am able to help a student handle their workload and create some problem-solving skills that help them in the future!

My lessons focus on an understanding of underlying concepts in math, making the learning process much less painful. My typical lesson plan has some kind of conceptual review, then a tie into the topics at hand, and finishing with some practice with the concept being tested. I think this process sets me apart from other tutors, because it makes an effort to find holes in the students knowledge before we learn new things. My lessons are targeted at advanced math students who may have been rushed through classes, but this method is effective for all types of students.
