About Elliot
Greetings! I'm Elliot from Denver, Colorado. I am a junior biochemistry major at the University of Alabama and I intend to pursue a Ph.D in organic chemistry in the future. This summer I've completed a bioluminescence internship.
I completed two lectures and one lab of organic chemistry, and I also earned an A on the ACS organic chemistry exam.
I owe my enthusiasm and knowledge of organic chemistry to my professor, Silas C. Blackstock. I intend to bring his effort and effectivity into my lessons--and make you just as successful as I am.

Organic chemistry is a unique science--it's not memorization-heavy like biology, and it's not math-heavy like physics. The best part of organic chemistry is the emphasis of visual and creative material--it's like solving a puzzle.
To plan a schedule, I require a syllabus and unit sheets.
Lessons and homework review will be focused on structure, physical properties, mechanisms, synthesis, and spectroscopy of organic compounds and reactions. Each of these subjects can be emphasized depending on the student's strengths and weaknesses. Some lessons will also be dedicated to unit review and test corrections.
I provide lesson notes, practice problems, mnemonic devices, and fun facts to help the student remember details of organic compounds and reactions.
