About OLORUNSOMO
I struggled a great deal in high school to learn how to read and understand English, and I remember feeling so lost and confused because I just didn't understand why I wasn't getting it. My teacher, Mrs. Adewoyin, began tutoring me after school, and she quickly realized that the root of my problem was that I was struggling to grasp the concept of sounds. She began using pictures to show me the difference between the sounds and I understood . I've always been so grateful for her innovation and commitment to meet me where I was, values that I strive to use in my own teaching.
