About Jazmyn
Hey I'm Jazmyn. I'm an undergraduate student studying Neuroscience and Physics at Otago and have a huge passion for the Sciences and English. In high school I really realised my love for these subjects and received English awards and excellence and merit endorsements across biology, maths, horticulture and English. Last year I took a Gap year and travelled Europe and Australia and cemented my love for working with people. Tutoring allows me to hone in on my passion for English and science and share everything I've learnt about study through Uni and my on NCEA/A levels experience. In my free time I love being outdoors, playing guitar, writing and travelling whenever I can.

I specialise in tutoring the NCEA/A levels syllabus. In high school through the M.O.E I ran an all inclusive tutoring program. Specialising in Biology, Maths, Horticulture and English in years 9-13 so I have experience in these fields and also a great love for them. In my lessons we will work on breaking down the syllabus and complex ideas to be more tackleable and understandable.
My goal is to ensure you can enter exams or hand in internals confidently. All that takes is some practice in debunking the curriculum. The curriculum is very finite and easy once you break it down. In my lessons we will do exactly that and find out what the questions are really asking; then how we can attack them with your unique flair and skill set! I focus on tailoring the lesson structure to your skill set and we can work out together whether that’s through essay planning, slideshows, practice essays, summary sheets etc. Whatever works best for you.
I'm happy for students to contact me outside of our online lessons to give feedback on essays and only an email away for last minute support.
