About Eliza
Hi! I am Eliza, an 19-year-old undergraduate in Materials Science/Engineering at Oxford. I achieved 4 A*s at A-level in Physics, Maths, Chemistry and Further Maths along with 11 grade 9s at GCSE. When I was studying for my GCSE's and A-levels I found myself always asking friends to explain concepts to me. The informal setting helped me feel more open to asking questions and the discussion helped me better understand the concepts. Understanding the concept, for any subject, is the difference between doing well or not, which is why I base my tutorials on this.

I will take a thorough and purposeful approach to reviewing topics and will explain them in a way that leans on intuition and comprehension instead of basic memorisation. The student can give me a list of topics beforehand and I will create a personalised lesson plan, including plenty of examples, to go through on paper.
My tutorials will be informal and last around an hour. I teach from GCSE to A-level (11-18 years of age). I have no prior experience as a tutor but plenty of relatable experience in trying to grasp new, complex concepts, something I believe is essential in a good teacher.
