About Mithra
I am a third-year Bioengineering undergraduate student with an emphasis in Biotechnology and a strong interest in medical research and innovation. My main academic interests are neurodegenerative diseases and genetic therapeutics, and I hope to pursue a career developing treatments that can improve patients’ lives.
Outside of my studies, I enjoy mentoring and supporting students in subjects they may struggle with because I understand how challenging STEM courses can be. I value patience, communication, and creating a learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions without judgment. Being both a student and tutor allows me to connect with students more easily and explain difficult concepts in a way that feels approachable and understandable.

I am a third-year undergraduate student majoring in Bioengineering with a strong interest in helping students better understand STEM subjects. I tutor Biology, Algebra, Geometry, English Comprehension, and other related subjects. My teaching style focuses on explaining concepts in a simple and clear way while helping students build confidence and problem-solving skills. During lessons, I usually review difficult topics, go through practice problems step-by-step, and answer any questions students may have. I also create personalized practice worksheets and mock tests focused on the areas students struggle with most to help reinforce concepts and improve their understanding. I try to adapt my teaching style to each student’s pace and learning style so they feel comfortable asking questions and improving over time. As a current college student, I understand the challenges of difficult classes and want to help students not only improve their grades but also feel more confident in their learning. My lessons are best for middle school, high school, and introductory college students who need support in STEM courses or general academic help.
