About Josh
Despite the commonplace nature of the English language,I feel there is more to learning English than just understanding the language. It should not be about compulsion, it should be about building interest and establishing ties, as this builds the most important foundation upon which to build fluency. I have wanted to be a teacher for many years now, and with my studies in history I am in a unique place to teach you not only how English is spoken, but also how this spoken English has developed, become normalised and commonplace in the vocabulary of everyday English people. In short, I wish to show you the beauty of spoken English, beyond the basic grammar and practice.

Each lesson will begin with a short conversation which will build confidence with language and grammar, followed by a series of exercises centred around the difficult to understand areas of English, such as pronunciation, grammar, exceptions in rules and other quirks of the language. Other features of the lesson will feature English cultural oddities and brief explanations of English history. This area, in addition to being the area of my own expertise, is essential for building an understanding of English culture and being a proficient user of the English language.
