About Goya

I am a graduate of King's college in 2022, and am doing my undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering at The University of Sydney as a Dalyell scholar and recipient of the Chancellor's award.

On paper my A Level results may seem excellent, however I don't consider myself the sharpest tool in the shed. However having excellent teachers in high school was one of the key reasons why I was able to do so well and thus what made me want to become a tutor.
Being a tutor is also an enjoyable job as I can teach what I am passionate about in order to help a student improve their grades and possibly make them find a passion for the subject as well. This job is also flexible and suited towards me as I will be a busy university student.

Outside of academics, some things about me is that I was born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand which naturally makes me enjoy hanging out with my mates, playing with my dog, and kicking a football around (proud Man City supporter:))).

About the lesson

In general lessons will be one hour long, and we will cover key theory for specific topics within the subject eg differentiation, integration, binomial distribution in math's, etc. This will be followed up by questions within these topics.
Format of the lessons will however vary depending on the situation. Eg more question intensive during exam periods or when studying for tests.
The first lesson will be a free introductory lesson and will give me a chance to know the student's level, the course outline for their subject and a basic intro into the subject.

My teaching methodology involves learning how a key concept comes about instead of just chucking numbers in formula's. This way a student understands how to tackle the more complex questions at these levels, which is key to succeeding.

My lessons are for student's who need help in high school math's as I feel well qualified for this since I received 98% when sitting the October/November 2022 series for CIE.
