About Megan
I am an Economics undergraduate student looking to tutor students in Maths up to GCSE level. I achieved Grade 9 in both Maths and Further Maths at GCSE. I also achieved an A grade in A-level Maths (one mark off an A*). I am confident, reassuring, but above all, patient. I am able to break down more complex problems into simpler terminology, ensuring there is no confusion in my lessons. I work hard to make sure the lessons are fun and engaging, such as by using interactive worksheets for students. I have been given positions of responsibility such as sports captain before, demonstrating how I am trustworthy and dedicated to any role I undertake.

I am a conscientious and dedicated teacher. I take a methodical approach to mathematics, meaning that I am capable of breaking down the steps to a solution, ensuring the student understands all the workings, and is able to complete the question themselves. I have experience volunteering in a primary school, meaning I am used to being patient and explaining things to students at an accessible level. I am willing to offer a half price 30 minute taster session, before moving onto 1 hour sessions at a rate of £10 an hour. I have strong organisational and time-management skills, ensuring I will respond quickly to correspondence and endeavour to tutor students at the time which works best for them. I will set homework should this be deemed fitting and should the student/parent wish for it.
