An undergraduate of Bath Spa University, I teach English for GCSE and A-Level. Also, I teach Mandarin for GCSE. I am happy to teach either online or in person. I have experience in various subjects.

About Emmie
I'm Em, I understand the stress of preparing for both GCSEs and general assessments, since I'm a student myself I know lots of tips and tricks to help you achieve. I have a passion for teaching, through creating exciting content, to aid you in your comprehension language. I want to teach as I understand what it's like to struggle with a subject, or feel as if you need more support. I encourage students to ask questions, the more the better! I will help you deconstruct complex themes, analyse supporting evidence and aid you in explaining your points with relevant context. English is crucial for both further development and understanding of our world. Being able to voice your own thoughts and ideas is something that should be encouraged, my passionate and enthusiastic teaching will allow me to guide you in getting started.

I am passionate about creating lessons that are engaging, creative and concise. In the first lesson I will assess the student's current comprehension of the language or subject, to consider both their strengths and where we can improve together. My typical lesson length is one hour, where we will review our previous topics to ensure a coherent understanding of the material. Together we will analyse complex concepts, ideas and evaluate context, where discussion is encouraged. I will offer support for upcoming assessments, with the goal of improving grades, boosting confidence and inspiring a passion for the subject. I have achieved both GCSE and A-Level qualifications in this subject, I have previously tutored GCSE level students aged 15-16 years old.
