About Irene
My name is Ying Yu and feel free to call me Irene. I'm born in Taiwan . I'm a undergrad student in UCSD majoring in Math - CS. Had experience tutoring in De Anza College with individual tutees and also drop-in tables. Speaks both english and chinese, so can also teach in Chinese if needed. I can also teach how to write and read chinese if anyone is interested. I can teach elementary math, middle school math, high school math, to calculus. Feel free to ask me any questions.

I like to teach with school materials, make plans together to make sure we're on the same page. Like to spend time one review and preview, which makes students easier to understand and able to concentrate on school but also getting prepared for exams and tests. Set a goal so student will be motivated to study, teach through the concepts and let the students to do practices to check if they fully understand. Had experience being a math tutor teaching algebra, pre-cal, and cal in college. Also like to teach my sister's children her math assignment when I have free time, which one of them is middle school and another is fourth grade. I can teach K-12 math to cal as I'm studying math - cs major in UCSD. I can also teach in Chinese if needed as Chinese is my native language.
