About Manahil

Currently I am an Undergraduate Politics student studying at King’s College London! I am eager to teach English as it was a subject I truly cherished throughout my secondary and sixth form years, despite not taking it on as a degree, my passion for English has never been diminished. As I struggled to comprehend and execute the best revision techniques when it came to studying English because every technique I tried, failed to stick with me. Therefore, I believe that I can formulate different tasks to learn with students what way they prefer to be taught English!

About the lesson

Hello! I studied English Literature at A-level alongside Sociology and Politics and achieved a grade A respectively, after being heavily influenced by my love for English throughout GCSEs (in which I attained an 8)! As I struggled myself to perfect the best way to revise throughout these years for English, I know how to curate tasks and lessons to fit every individual's needs. I would prefer to teach in an online setting with lessons ranging to a minimum of 1 hour, and craft PowerPoints and task sheets for students to work with in the lesson, and after if they would like to (in a format the student prefers to work in). As a former tutee to KS3 students (teaching English and Sociology) during my sixth form years, I have grown to love teaching English and greatly enjoy interacting with a diverse set of people. Also, as part of my work experience I have worked as a teaching assistant at my former secondary school, in which I found that conversing with younger students comes easily to me! Additionally, these lessons would be targeted towards KS2 and KS4, designed to make students excel in their exams!
