About Ankith

Hi, my name is Ankith. I'm a second-generation immigrant that grew up with tiger parents. Living with parents who literally built their lives off their education and knowledge gave me an appreciation for how far you can get by understanding the content right in front of you.

I grew up with the privilege of being upper middle class and made sure to get the most of the resources I had. Got a +1500 on the newer SAT, was accepted to a number of universities, and had the opportunity to attend UNC Chapel Hill where I decided I was going to pursue medicine.

After graduating during the pandemic, I worked at both Duke & UNC Hospitals to get more medical experience and just recently got accepted to a number of Masters's Programs earlier this year.

Currently, I am a Biomedical Sciences Graduate Student at Wake Forest's Medical School and by this time next year, I'm hoping to be an MD student.

I want to explain all of this to say that while I've had the opportunity and privilege to learn from people I consider some of the best, I don't think it's essential to being successful. The knowledge that can't be captured in a textbook is by far the most important. Having to learn how to learn, understand academia & standardized testing, and be professional are things you can either learn from the experienced or learn from failure. My parents didn't know how to prepare me for a country they had never experienced, I don't want any other student to have to struggle the same way I did. In addition to whatever subject your student needs to improve on the most, I will also teach them these extrinsic skills.

Trust me with your student & I promise I'll mentor them to the best of my ability.

About the lesson

Personally, I've had to grapple with many harsh professors to get where I am today. I'm not going to grade & critique you because the rest of academia already will.

My tutoring will focus more on what you'd need to improve on and get you to that level of understanding. Practice makes perfect, so we can go through different examples on your topics to explain them all around.

Intelligence isn't something you're just born with, I'll help you see that in yourself. I'm here to help you learn and I promise I won't give up on you.
