About Aayan

Hi! I'm Aayan, a mechanical engineering student at UIUC with four years of tutoring experience. Teaching is a passion of mine, and I’ve had the privilege of helping students from grade school through college master math and physics. Whether it’s foundational concepts or advanced topics like calculus, differential equations, and electromagnetism, I tailor my approach to each student’s unique learning style. I believe that true understanding comes from engagement, not memorization. My tutoring sessions focus on breaking down complex topics into simple, relatable ideas and guiding students through problem-solving with real-world applications. About the lesson

As a UIUC mechanical engineering student, I bring a strong foundation in math and physics, along with a hands-on, problem-solving approach to tutoring. I focus on helping students truly understand concepts rather than just memorizing formulas, using real-world applications to make topics more engaging and intuitive.

Each lesson is tailored to the student’s needs, starting with a quick review of key concepts, followed by guided practice problems and step-by-step breakdowns of challenging topics. I encourage active learning, asking leading questions to help students develop critical thinking skills and confidence in problem-solving.

What sets me apart is my ability to explain complex ideas in simple terms, adapt to different learning styles, and provide practical insights from my engineering background. Whether you're in middle school, high school, or taking college-level courses like calculus, physics, or differential equations, I can help strengthen your understanding and boost your academic performance.

Lessons will range from $20-$30 per hour depending on the level of study and number of hours per week, but rates are always flexible!
