About Lindsay
Hi there!
My name is Lindsay. I am an outgoing, fun-loving person who enjoys working with young students.
I am very grateful to have been given so many opportunities in life to travel down different paths. I graduated from Stellenbosch University with a BCOMM, lived in Holland, and worked as an Au Pair for 1 year (this was an unforgettable experience) and then graduated from UCT with a postgraduate diploma in education. Through all of that, I found my passion which is 100% teaching.
After becoming a qualified teacher, I got to work as a high school teacher for a year and then moved into working at two different primary schools from 2017 to the present. I adore teaching and wouldn't want to do anything else.
My goal is to inspire confidence and a love for the English language.

I have an holistic approach to teaching the English language, which is why I incorporate what my students enjoy and are interested in, into my lessons. I am an organized person so prepare my lessons beforehand and teach from there - adding in the finer details as the lesson progresses and I get to know my student better.
My initial meeting with my student will determine the lesson level, however this will be adapted as my student progresses and together we find what works best for them.
Learning should be enjoyable which is what I aim to achieve with every lesson. I want my students to feel confident in their knowledge and excited about the subject after they complete a lesson with me.
