I'm an Actuarial Science student at UCT and an experienced High School Mathematics tutor with over two years of tutoring experience. My teaching approach combines clear explanations with lots of practice, helping students build confidence, improve their marks, and succeed in exams.

My approach to tutoring is centred around practice, problem-solving, and building confidence. Through my experience, I have found that many students spend too much time trying to perfect theory and not enough time applying it. While a solid understanding of the concepts is important, I believe the greatest improvement comes from exposing students to a wide variety of questions and teaching them how to recognise patterns and solve problems effectively.
As an Actuarial Science student at the University of Cape Town with over two years of tutoring experience, I have developed a teaching method that balances understanding with extensive practice. My lessons focus on ensuring that students grasp the key concepts and then spend the majority of their time applying those concepts through worked examples, exercises, and exam-style questions.
I am proficient in English and can also assist students who are comfortable with Sepedi and Setswana. In a typical lesson, students can expect a brief review of the relevant theory followed by guided practice, problem-solving techniques, and targeted exercises designed to strengthen weaker areas. My goal is to help students become comfortable and confident when faced with unfamiliar questions in tests and examinations.
