I study at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD)—ranked among the top 12 universities globally. As an aerospace engineering major and astrophysics minor, I eat, sleep, and breathe STEM. Beyond the classroom, I am the founder and CEO of my own aerospace software company. Hi, I'm Shourya. As a UCSD engineering student, software founder, and international athlete, I believe learning should be as dynamic as the real world.
My Teaching Approach
I treat learning like an engineering problem. We move away from rote memorization by breaking complex concepts down into simple building blocks and rebuilding them into a complete understanding.
What Makes My Classes Different
I bring textbooks to life using real-world examples and interactive simulations. Most importantly, I show students the limits of every subject—we explore where basic math rules stop applying and where classical physics breaks down. This builds genuine curiosity rather than just prepping for a test.
Typical Class Structure (1 Hour)
The Hook (10 mins): We start with a simulation or real-life scenario to spark interest.
Core Concepts (20 mins): Clear, visual breakdowns of theory and formulas.
Guided Practice (20 mins): Working through problems together using logical reasoning.
Pushing the Limits (10 mins): Exploring edge cases and how these concepts are used in the real world today.
Who This Is For
These classes are tailored for students in Classes 5 to 10. Whether they need a more hands-on approach to math and physics or want to dive early into basic astrophysics, I adapt the pace to challenge and inspire them.
