About Tal
Hi! I’m Tal, a UCSB student majoring in Linguistics with a focus on speech and communication. I’m passionate about helping kids build strong reading, language, and communication skills in a way that feels supportive and confidence-boosting.
I have several years of experience working with children as a swim instructor, lifeguard, camp counselor, and volunteer at an animal shelter. Through these roles, I’ve learned how to be patient, engaging, and adaptable to each child’s unique learning style.
Because I study how language works, I’m especially good at breaking down reading, pronunciation, and communication into simple, easy-to-understand steps. I love helping kids not only improve academically, but also feel more confident expressing themselves.
My goal is to create a positive and encouraging environment where kids feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing.
