My goal in high school was to be an engineering student in college.
And Engineering schools require a strong math and science background.
I did well in that in high school.
UCLA, USC, UC Berkeley accepted me into their engineering schools.
USC offered me the Dean’s Scholarship to their School of Engineering, but I decided to go to UCLA’s School of Engineering instead.
Where I eventually changed majors to Latin American Studies because I loved studying History. Particularly American and Modern World History. But I had never deeply studied my own roots until I got to UCLA.
