I’ve been working with Karina for just over a year now and their unique approach to teaching is truly exceptional. As any good educator should, they always put their students’ interests first, making sure to account for each and every quirk in an individual’s learning style. As a result, the balance they strike between guidance and a push to independent work is clearly carefully considered and I have found this allows for a real sense of development for the student in how they approach literature academically. Karina’s style of education allows them to flourish particularly as an English teacher as they can flexibly navigate the relationship between student, text, and author; they can always succinctly explain where and when each of these elements should be prioritised in the writing of an essay with a sensitivity that allows ample space for their pupils to express themselves while ensuring that they write with the clarity necessary to communicate this effectively.
