About Wenyu
Hi everyone, My name is Wenyu (pronounced as "When-you"), from China, so my native language is Mandarin. I'm currently an undergrad student at University College Cork, studying Biological Sciences 2nd year. I entered UCC through A-Levels and some iGCSE subjects, which I self-studied through the entire 3 years and got all 9/9 for all 4 subjects I took in iGCSE and 3 A* and 1 A in A-Levels, and earned a Gold Award in the British Physics Olympiad Competition and Distinction Award in the American Mathematics Competition 12 (Top 5%). In UCC, I also achieved all 1:1 honor for my first and second year of study. I think I'm comfortable with teaching relevant subjects up to leaving cert level or A-Levels. And due to my self-study journey, I think I'm also comfortable with giving tips on self-study, and very excited about making new friends through this teaching journey. I'm also very interested in European cultures, which was also one of the reasons I came to Ireland. I'm currently learning German.

What I Can Offer:
- I can help with A-Level and Leaving Cert subjects, especially Math, Further Math, Chemistry, Physics, and maybe some Biology.
- Mandarin practicing.
- Self-Study Tips: I completed all my A-Levels independently and can share strategies that worked for me.
- Piano: I completed Piano Level 10 Certification from the Central Conservatory of Music (Beijing), equivalent to Grade 8+ in the ABRSM/RIAM system, so I think I could offer some basic piano playing teaching if you are interested or you know any people around you are interested.
