About Mildred
You are likely here because your voice feels like a restricted instrument rather than a tool for expression. I teach intermediate learners, adults, and grade exam candidates who want to sing with genuine authority.
Working with 344 students has shown me that technique is just a way to stop getting in your own way. Pitch control and harmony singing require a calm mind. I bring 11 years of experience to help you find your resonance.
My neurodivergent-affirming methods mean we work at the pace your nervous system allows. It is rewarding to see you finally own your sound.

Vocal strain is rarely caused by the throat. It is actually caused by tension in your posture.
We resolve this by using warm up exercises that align with my UBC training. You will receive homework vocal drills assigned after every session to solidify your progress. Tone and resonance improve when you let go of performance anxiety.
We focus on clear, actionable steps for your exam preparation. Are you ready to hear what your voice is truly capable of doing?
