I am a recent UAB graduate who adores both art and education!
I believe everyone can become a skilled artist with simple dedication and practice. While you may already be using many excellent (and free!) online resources to learn art, hands-on instruction with immediate feedback exponentially speeds up your development as an artist! I would love the opportunity to be the instructor that helps you set and reach your artistic goals.

I will work one on one with you to develop a lesson plan that suits your unique goals and needs as a student!
A typical lesson might include:
- Guided exercises relevant to your specific area of interest (Learning New Skills)
- A project assignment to complete in your free time (Practicing New Skills)
- A follow up feedback and critique session (Refining Your Skills)
I can offer a variety of lessons in the following topics:
- Fundamentals in Drawing/Painting (Best for Total Beginners!)
- Figure Drawing/Painting
- Observational Drawing/Painting
- Watercolor Basics
- Oil Painting (19+ Only or with Parental Consent)*
- Cartooning
- Scientific Illustration
All lessons can be adapted to any age or skill level! Lessons can range from 60-120 minutes based on individual need.
*Oil painting requires students to be 19 years or older due to health and safety risks with using the medium
