About Amene

I work as a tutor and study as a student and I also recognize that many individuals struggle when they learn complex academic topics or study for examinations. The scores I earned include a 760 on the SAT Math section. Further evidence of my academic background includes my completion of AP coursework plus my induction into the French Honor Society.

To every lesson I bring academic skills and a perspective that focuses on the learner. I am calm but also easy to talk to & I ensure that each learner progresses at a speed that fits their needs. It is my objective to maintain a setting that provides support. In this space learners feel they can ask questions without hesitation. As they practice they improve their abilities and develop a sense of certainty in their own knowledge that lasts over time.

About the lesson

The way I teach is to make it easier for students to understand difficult ideas by giving them clear explanations, using examples in a step-by-step manner, and providing opportunities for interactive practice. I tailor each lesson to meet the requirements of the student and to suit their particular learning style, thus helping them to gain confidence and to improve their problem-solving abilities.

A usual lesson starts off by going over the earlier material and spotting the places where difficulty is experienced. After that I explain the new concepts, go through some examples with the student, and give them practice problems to reinforce their understanding. The lesson then ends with a review of the main points and with any further questions being answered.

What makes me different is the experience I have had with difficult AP coursework, my 760 in SAT Math, and my dedication to helping students really understand what they are learning rather than just memorizing answers. Since I am a member of the French Honor Society and have worked as a French tutor, I also enjoy assisting students in improving their language skills.

I design my lessons for middle and high school students who need help with mathematics, science, English, and French.
