About Thomas

I earned my Honours BSc in Physics at St. Francis Xavier University. Currently I am in my Master's program in Physics at the University of Calgary. As an advocate for science, I enjoy assisting the understanding of new students in the field. My passion for Physics and Mathematics dates back to being in high school in Germany. I am bilingual (English and German) and have a Latin proficiency certificate. A hobby since 16 years is playing guitar.

About the lesson

My tutoring lessons are centered around the student. Each student provides me with a summary of course topics in advance ensuring the highest value for their time. To give confidence for the exam, I show derivations and answer the "why" questions of the subject matter. Equipped with drawing board, interactive whiteboards, and various video communication apps (like Zoom, Skype, Teams, etc.), I am guaranteed to connect to anybody, anywhere. My lessons are for PHYS and MATH on the undergraduate and high school level.

Thomas can spontaneously teach new topics. Aside from material that I have provided in advance, whenever I wanted to start new topics, Thomas continued without interruption. Also, he is flexible with online platforms. I preferred a different platform than the usual Zoom, Skype, Teams, or Hangouts, and he switched to what I was comfortable with.
