About Wout

I am a student in biochemistry en biotechnology. I graduated with a degree in Latin-Mathematics in secondary education. I have been tutoring outside of this platform for several years now. This is mainly mathematics but I can certainly be found for problems with chemistry, physics or biology.

About the lesson

A tutoring always starts from a question or a piece of material that is not clear to the person in question. After this I start to get a sence whether the person has the correct prior knowledge to understand this piece. If not, I will be happy to explain! In the lesson itself I will make sure that the person agrees with my explanation. I let him / her draw conclusions that I later confirm or correct. I make sure there is a general understanding. I always end my tutorials with a short summary. I often ask a student if he / she can scan the course and forward it via e-mail. The purpose of this is: - Understanding what the teacher expects of a student - Understanding how the subject matter is delineated. - if necessary, briefly repeat the subject matter myself. If I have insight into these things, I can adapt my tutoring to the needs of the student in question. He / she will then receive a lesson fully adapted to his / her questions and difficulties. In order to take optimal account of what the "real" teacher expects from you, I ask (although I certainly do not require this) to also scan any tests. For example, I know the teacher's question.

Perfect! Hij is heel erg professioneel voorbereid en legt heel goed alles volledig uit (beter dan mijn wisk leerkr lol) want ik heb liever te veel uitleg dan te weinig en hij overloopt ook alles heel vriendelijk.
