About Phillip

Hi, I'm Phillip, a 2nd Year medical student at Imperial College London. I'm a tutor specialising in science and maths. With a strong academic background and proven success helping students improve their grades, I focus on making complex topics clear and manageable. Whether you're struggling to keep up or aiming for top marks, I adapt my teaching to suit your learning style, using simple explanations, step-by-step guidance, and practical examples. I’ve helped students prepare for exams with confidence through targeted practice, mock tests, and identifying gaps in understanding. My lessons are structured, friendly, and results-focused—designed to boost both confidence and performance. I take pride in being patient, dependable, and supportive. My goal is to help you build lasting confidence and a clear understanding of science and maths.

About the lesson

- I will tailor lessons to the needs of my student - adapting my explanations to suit each student's learning style, using different approaches until everything clicks. - I break down problems into manageable parts, guiding students through each step until they can solve independently. -For students preparing for exams, I provide mock questions, timed practice, and past paper exercises to build confidence, improve speed, and address any misconceptions about the topic - A typical lesson would last 1 hour - I can tutor Chemistry and Maths at A-level, and Chemistry, Maths, Biology, Physics at GCSE - I received A*A*A*A at A-level in Chemistry, Maths, Biology, and Physics, and received 9s in all of those subjects at GCSE. I also received a gold award in the UK Chemistry Olympiad '23 - I previously tutored Chemistry A-level students in the year below me at school, who were struggling with the course.
