About Taha
Having tutored maths for over three years, I enjoy seeing the lightbulb moment in my students. I believe the key to their success is inspiring self-esteem and developing a friendly rapport by knowing them personally. As a result, I've been awarded 'Tutor of the Year' and 'Tutor of the Quarter' when tutoring with Explore Learning. I have a PGCE in teaching secondary maths with Qualified Teacher Status, and a year of classroom teaching experience. Therefore, I adopt a question-based teaching style and use resources tailored to pupils' abilities. I am available to tutor from 5pm onwards on weekdays, and I have a DBS check on the update service.

My teaching style: • Ensuring students fulfil learning objectives as per the national curriculum • Tailoring teaching content and style according to students’ abilities • Inspiring passion by teaching in real-world contexts • Engaging students in discussion of common misconceptions in a topic before setting work • Assessing understanding by asking students to explain the steps in solving maths problems and the reasoning behind them • Setting questions based on areas of weakness until students can answer them correctly and independently • Providing exam-style questions • Providing feedback on students’ performance after every lesson
