About Cheryl
I have multiple degrees and certifications, particularly in several aspects of Computer Science, including software development, testing, systems administration, networks, security, forensics, hardware, etc. I have guided many students through SAT and ACT preparation, enabling over 95% to be accepted to the college of their choice. I am skilled in mathematics, teaching all levels from basic arithmetic through calculus and beyond. Unlike many current math teachers, I actually understand what I’m teaching. I also teach related subjects, such as electronics, technology, robotics, physics, and logic.

I’m highly qualified, very patient, and have converted many students who formerly hated math or science to loving it. I not only explain the “how,” but also the “why.” I teach helpful shortcuts that most teachers will never tell you. I try to make the lessons as interesting as possible. I will move at the pace you need and make sure that you understand each step before going to the next topic.
I am very understanding of students with anxiety from past bad experiences, and have successfully worked with students of all abilities and challenges, including those who have learning disabilities, are gifted, and/or are neurodivergent. I respect all my students and do not attempt to influence them with my own ideologies. I am dedicated to helping people expand their knowledge and enjoy doing so.
