About Brett
Given my undergraduate and postgraduate education in mathematics, I have a natural affinity for teaching. Not only at a one-to-one level but, by extension, large classrooms. I enjoy both aspects of teaching, but one-to-one is easier because it allows me to ensure that the student is getting the most out of our time. I also think that, as a teacher, it's the student's needs that are met, not necessarily that of the teacher.

I am able to conceptualise mathematical abstractions. I am supporting and I always encourage my students to ask questions. I enjoy seeing growth and development in my students, and always hope to a positive influence in their learning.
I usually structure my lessons around the context at hand. In particular, I am able to link theory to practice in a way that benefits a student.
