About Narmadha
As a math teacher, it’s my responsibility to offer counter narratives that help students see themselves as mathematicians and expand what they think it means to “do mathematics.”
Today our expectations for students go well beyond the ability to memorize math facts and perform basic computations. While those skills are important, I recognize them as just a part of what our students need to know and be able to do. I expect my students to understand math, think mathematically, and be able to use the math they have learned.
