About Brian
Growing up, I wasn't exactly the most extroverted student. To me, hitting the books and maintaining that perfect 4.0 GPA was all that mattered. I couldn't have been more wrong. It took me years to master my communication skills, but my experiences throughout my academic journey as an ambitious student have shown me how important it is to know how to communicate and connect with others, not just learning all the material in the textbook. By conducting these productive learning sessions with students, I hope to not just boost that letter grade, but also allow the student to take away valuable skills they will use in the upcoming years on their own academic journey. Being in my last year of high school, I also know what matters most when it comes to that grind for your dream school, so my knowledge benefits from both my successes and failures as a student. I can also provide test-taking tips from being in the top percentile for both the ACT and SAT.

As an experienced tutor teaching students of all levels, ranging from primary school to high school, I believe my current status as a high school senior allows me years of experience in academic subjects, especially those in the field of STEM, as well as the ability to connect with students around my age or younger to facilitate an enjoyable yet productive learning experience. I like to build a foundation with my students by establishing where the class lies on the subject timeline as well as where the student themselves stands in that class. I typically match the student's working pace to reduce the pressure of learning and allow the subject matter to be fully understood. I don't just assist students in completing their work; I aim for their success in the classroom.
