About Evie
Language subjects are unique in the fact that there is not a specific list of words that you need to know, it’s more like: the more you know, the more marks you get. Which can be very annoying, especially when you have to study for it. However, I have always been passionate about helping others and learning languages. Now that the world is becoming more interconnected, having a good grasp of languages makes connecting with others easier.
As a language, this subject does require more effort, time and practice than others to succeed in. It’s not an easy subject and so needing a little extra help is nothing to be ashamed of.
My job as your tutor is to support you and make learning a tricky subject fun. I am kind, compassionate and highly confident in this subject.
As a student myself, I feel I have a great understanding of the techniques and methods that are most effective in making content stick. Also, as I am currently studying for my A level in Spanish, I can offer helpful revision techniques and advice that are tailored to this specific type of subject.

• I focus on making lessons interactive and fun, using the method of teach, discuss and practice.
• I like to make lessons less focused on note taking and more focused on speaking as a way to integrate the vocabulary into the long term memory.
• Lessons are 1 hour and can focus on any area of the Spanish GCSE: listening, reading, writing, grammar, speaking or translation.
• I received full marks in every part of the Spanish GCSE and have been speaking Spanish for 5 years.
• My lessons are for students in years 7-11 who are studying for the GCSE in Spanish.
