About Marcus

Hello everyone! My name is Marcus Burnham and I am an educator with the Upper Canada District School Board. I love the field of education and want to offer my passion and abilities to the tutoring side of things to support even more students in reaching their academic goals. I teach a variety of subjects at the Intermediate age level INCLUDING FRENCH and am currently pursuing my primary and junior teaching credentials for personal enrichment. I am a very outgoing and personable human being who takes the most pride in giving back to the next generation. Having Mr. Burnham as your tutor will be a fun, safe and invaluable experience that you can only find with someone as passionate and caring as me!

About the lesson

My teaching methodology and techniques vary from learner to learner and are differentiated to meet the needs of each specific student. A typical lesson plan includes a hook with an actionable task and a verbal consolidation of the learning at the end. My commitment to student improvement, constant self-reflection for personal growth and improvement and my flexibility in teaching strategies sets me apart. I'm also young and can relate to the modern generation of learners being new to the field of teaching. My lessons are designed for the Grade 7/8 Core and Immersion French, Science, History and Geography curriculums and they highlight my creativity and adaptability in designing lessons that demonstrate specific curriculum skills.

Marc would most definitely a wonderful teacher! He is reliable, hardworking, and determind to help cultivate the best learning for his students. He makes a great teacher because is able to teach a concept in differentways. Adapting to all learning techniques and providing a fun and safe space.
