About Laura
Our Founder: Principal Academic Coach, Laura Fragomeni, is a Harvard-educated teacher who’s been educating students with diverse learning needs for more than a decade. Over that time, she's taught students in grades K-16+ in a wide variety of settings, including traditional public school, home school, private tutoring, and hospital school programs. And she's honed a compassionate, neuroscience-based approach to instruction and academic coaching that works. Laura founded School Without Suffering to help students around the world be both successful and happy because she believes that when students have the tools and support that they need, they thrive. Our Coaches: Sarah Geshell is a passionate teacher and a strong advocate for student support. Sarah is certified in Secondary Education Biology, Chemistry, and General Sciences. She has taught in public schools over the last 8 years, serving students from grades 9-12 in Biology, Chemistry, AP Chemistry, Medical Chemistry, and Integrated Sciences. She leads her students with a love for learning and an understanding that every student will come to the table with different needs. You'll find her hosting daily Office Hours and supporting students 1:1 in our Intensive Membership. Aaron Thaul has 10+ years of experience as an educator. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Math from Emory University with a minor concentration in music. His approach has always been to facilitate his students’ becoming lifelong learners by drawing off their inspiration, embracing failure as a necessary part of growth, and moving forward together. He loves helping students find joy, self-acceptance, and self-compassion in their work. Aaron is available to help students in all levels of The Student Membership in Office Hours each week.

At School Without Suffering, we use an empathetic, neuroscience-based approach to go beyond improving grades and test scores, teaching students how to take control over their external and internal stressors, and to see themselves as the capable, intelligent young people that they are.
We believe that when students have the right tools and support, they thrive in school and in life. And I know how to deliver those tools and supports.
We are passionate about working with all students, and we specialize in supporting those who experience anxiety around school and learning.
We provide services virtually so that students can receive support from wherever they are, on the schedule that works best for them.

I met Laura while I was searching for an educational therapist for my son. After just one meeting, we felt Laura can help us because we saw how kind and empathetic she was to what we as a family were going through. In just a few weeks, we could see a difference in our son. She diagnosed him with math anxiety which calmed us all a lot because she gave a name to what was going on with him. She taught him skills, gave him tools, and built his confidence. We as a family felt much calmer that she had taken over his educational and emotional needs associated with it. My son passed his AP classes, made up the one he failed in, and has admission to a college he is happy with. He still has his ups and downs like any other student but now he knows how to handle them and overcome them to succeed. Thanks to Laura.
When my daughter had anxiety issues and electronic dependence, I reached out to her again and she is working with her currently and I see progress already. I highly recommend Laura to any parent thinking of seeking help for their children, small or big. Trust me she will help not only the child but the parents as well. Good luck to everyone and wish you and your children every success.View more recommendations
