About Tiphaine
I have been tutoring and giving academic support for languages since I was 17. I have experience teaching children from 8 years old to 18 years old. I have also helped adults at beginners level with conversation.
I'm currently teaching in a secondary school in London and I am very confident with KS3 and KS4 curriculums. I also co-teach KS5 lessons, and have strong knowledge of exams expectations and content.

I'm very flexible and can adapt easily to the needs of each students and level. My subject knowledge is strong, as well as my knowledge of the curriculum. I have experience working with Special Needs students, and I'm currently undertaking a course to improve my understanding on how best to teach dyslexic students.
I strongly believe that the first step to delivering a great tutoring lesson is to cater the lesson to each students needs and learning style. I usually offer a free hour where I discuss with the student and I come up with a specific learning plan for their needs, expectations, and specific learning style.
I aspire to create a safe space with low anxiety levels where students feel free to experiment with language, and learn from their mistakes.
My teaching approach is to make grammar implicit, and to make the lessons enjoyable through RELEVANT materials.
