About Bennet
For two years I have delivered the English Speaking Union's debating workshops for schools, promoting good argumentation and good public speaking in the classroom. I have helped pupils of all ages and abilities to make sophisticated and persuasive arguments, skills essential to success in subjects such as history and politics. As such, our sessions will be active. I want you to be vocal, to test ideas and argue your case with confidence. With these vital skills, we will get you where you need to go.

Using long form discussion and debate, I will help you to develop persuasive arguments with confidence. Through active engagement with historical debates, I promote a deep understanding of the content rather than simple memorisation of dates and facts. I believe that history is about a conflict of ideas, about the lived experience of people, and I will task you relate to the subject beyond statistics.
Sessions will always be geared towards your interests and priorities. I will challenge you to defend your position, in the same way that you will tasked to in an exam setting. Through our sessions you will produce better, more compelling writing and develop vital analytical skills.
