About Kate
I graduated in Mathematics (2:1) from the University of Bristol in 2019. Prior to this, I completed both Maths and Further Maths A Levels, and completed several maths challenges where I represented my school.
I have worked for a not-for-profit tutoring organisation recently, which provided me with in-depth training on effective methods for tutoring maths to students with varying abilities. Since the training, I have tutored Maths to students retaking their GCSE with a target of a grade 4 or 5, but am equally happy tutoring students studying maths at a higher level.

I adopt flexible teaching methods which I adapt to different students, depending on general ability and confidence in the specific subject area we are working on.
I teach using examples, demonstrating methods and then encouraging students to try similar questions. I am also more than happy to go through exam papers with students, working on questions with them which they find difficult.
Most importantly, I want my students to enjoy our sessions, and feel a sense of achievement. I aim to make my sessions as engaging as possible and build a positive relationship with the students I am teaching.

I offer my first lesson free to get to know my students and what they would like help with, and then charge £25 per hour thereafter.
