About Chris
Balance is very important. I work hard, and value integrity, commitment and dedication. But I also enjoy time away from work, being a married family man with two children.
I cook a lot, take my gym training seriously, love music, and walking my dog. And getting out whenever possible to explore the natural world, whether locally or through international travel, of which I have done a lot.
With the benefit of experience, I don't just teach from a textbook. I help my students bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world application. Whether you are navigating a complex marketing project or just want help with some of the basic concepts, I provide a structured yet conversational environment where we focus on clarity, confidence, and practical results.

After completing my Masters in Marketing at Kingston University in London, I worked my way through market research, brand management, and advertising planning to director level role at Eurotunnel in the UK.
I then moved to Canada where I bought and operated a hotel, so I have real life hands-on personal marketing experience as well as for corporations and clients. I've also done some marketing consultancy for American Express, British Telecom and Safeway, amongst others.
The best way that I can help you on your own journey is to translate what you will read about in books on marketing - the theory - into how it happens in the real world. A lot of that is common sense and about practicality, skills which are often very absent in the real world, and never talked about in the textbooks.
