About Kaanchi

My teaching style blends traditional and modern practices of movement and mindfulness to suit the modern body and contemporary lifestyles.

I began my training in Hatha yoga at a traditional Gurukul schooling institution in Mysore, India.
After which I continued training in Gujarat, India with my teacher Heena Udeshi and her teacher Birjoo Mehta, both students of B.K.S. Iyengar.
I received my Yin yoga training in Goa, India from Olivier Charles, a student of Tom Myers.
This year I met Simon Borg-Olivier in Salento, Italy, where I trained with him in Yoga Synergy.

My current practice and teachings focus on spine health and nervous system balance. I believe that the key to a successful practice is respecting the body's physical limitations and fearlessly exploring greater strength and flexibility through patient and persistent practice.

Beyond the mat, I find joy in nature—hiking, swimming, and nurturing my garden where I grow my own fruits and vegetables.

I am passionate about creating mindful connections and guiding others on their path to wellness and self-discovery!

Time: 60 to 90 minutes.

Offerings:

2. Synergy Flow - “a work in, not a work out”…a style of somatic movement which finds its roots in traditional and modern practices of yoga, qigong, internal martial arts, meditation, physio, dance and gymnastics.

2. Traditional Hatha Yoga - a wholistic mix of postures (asanas), breathing (pranayama) and meditation (dhyana).

3. Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra - increase flexibility of the body and the mind

Kaanchi is a wonderful yoga instructor! She’s the first virtual yoga tutor I ever tried and she made the whole experience so pleasant! Her practice is one of the most peaceful and authentic that I’ve done. She really keeps the focus on the true essence of yoga rather than speeding through poses and missing the correct form. I loved taking virtual classes with her and can’t wait to take in-person sessions whenever the chance arises!
