About Kim

I’m a recent graduate and I’ve been self studying Korean for 8 years. I have the highest level in TOPIK (Level 6) and have been told by all Koreans that I’ve met that my Korean sounds native! I want to show you that you can do it too. ️

I have taught Korean during university to groups of 5+, creating tailored resources to aid learning. I like to have conversations in Korean to promote practice and natural fluency. I also teach Korean children who were raised overseas so I’m confident teaching all kinds of people.

My lessons won’t just be about the Korean language but Korean society and culture and how they affect the spoken language. I want to help other Korean learners as I have already experienced learning it as a foreign language so I am the most suitable teacher for other learners!

About the lesson

Korean is not my native language, instead I taught myself Korean since 2018. As a learner myself, I know the best ways to learn new grammar structures and explain patterns in the Korean language to fellow English speakers.

Having learnt the language myself, I can give you useful tips for spoken and written Korean and share how I practiced speaking to perfect my pronunciation and fluency to a native level.

I offer lessons from absolute beginner to intermediate levels and help with the TOPIK exam. If you’re a beginner, we can go through the alphabet together (hangeul) and basic greetings and further progress onto basic grammar. For more experienced learners, we’ll have advanced grammar lessons, more natural expressions and native pronunciation.

In your first lesson, we’ll have a conversation to establish your Korean level and plan lessons suitable to your language level.
