About Astrid

Hi, I’m Astrid! I’m a native English speaker, Qualified Solicitor and Cambridge Law alumna.

I practised as a corporate lawyer for six years at an Elite US law firm and Magic Circle law firm, respectively. I have 10+ years’ experience teaching English and other languages.

In particular, I have experience:

• Preparing students for 11+ and 13+ Common Entrance exams
• Providing interview prep for entry into top boarding schools in the UK
• Teaching English as a foreign language to speakers of other languages (including Spanish, Portuguese, Cantonese, Mandarin and Japanese)
• Teaching French and Spanish as a foreign language to English speakers
• LNAT (National Admissions Test for Law) prep

Thanks to my varied teaching experiences having taught English to both native speakers and speakers of other languages, I’m in an ideal position to guide you through your exciting language learning journey to improve and perfect your English!

About the lesson

As a Qualified Solicitor and Cambridge Law alumna, I have an empathetic and keen eye for detail. I quickly pick up on any points for improvement and employ methodical teaching techniques in real time to ensure you learn English as effortlessly as possible in a way that works for you. I will also make it FUN (yes, you read that correctly).

An avid language learner myself, I'm familiar with all of the pain points you might encounter when learning a foreign language. You name it, I’ve experienced it. And I’ve got a solution for it. I tailor each lesson to your specific needs and focus on any areas for improvement. An emphasis will be placed on conversation and accent reduction work. Did I mention I’ll also make it fun?
