About Louis
I feel inspired to teach as I have a real passion to share my fire for mathematics and science to lower classmen, in hopes of inspiring them to have a passion for STEM subjects. Having experienced how confidence and curiosity can transform a student’s approach to learning, I want to help younger students overcome the fear often associated with these subjects. By breaking down complex concepts into clear, relatable ideas, I aim to make learning engaging and accessible, while encouraging critical thinking and perseverance. Teaching allows me not only to support others academically, but also to grow as a communicator and leader, contributing positively to my school community

I like to follow a structured pathway, using slideshows and practical work. A usual lesson would be 30-60 minutes.
In terms of tutoring experience, I hold an instructor’s induction certificate from ITKD NZ and I’ve taught maths, English and taekwondo to primary school children. I also have teaching experience from leading and helping art and taekwondo lessons at a Korean charity school.
I have a perfect 50/50 score on both math and science for Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint, as well as an outstanding 46/50 for English. Furthermore, I am the winner of the Waitākere Rotary Speech Cup, as well as winning the ACG Excellence in Languages Cup. Recently, I have also achieved an A* grade in IGCSE combined science at year 10, 1 year earlier than my peers.
My lessons are for children of all ages, though I cater better to an older demographic
