About Jumana

My name is Jumana, and I am a high-achieving student with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for teaching. I achieved grade 9s in GCSE Biology, Chemistry, and Maths, as well as additional top grades across my other subjects, and I am currently studying A-Level Biology, Chemistry, and Maths. This gives me an up-to-date and thorough understanding of the GCSE curriculum and what examiners are looking for. I am organised, reliable, and professional in my approach to tutoring. I plan lessons carefully, arrive prepared, and adapt my teaching to suit each student’s individual needs. I understand that many students struggle not because they lack ability, but because they have not been taught in a way that works for them. My aim is to make challenging topics clear, manageable, and less intimidating. I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy helping students gain confidence in their abilities and realise their potential. Having recently completed GCSEs myself, I understand the pressures students face and can offer both academic guidance and practical exam strategies. About the lesson

My name is Jumana, and my approach to tutoring is structured, supportive, and focused on helping students build a strong understanding of GCSE Biology, Chemistry, and Maths, rather than relying on memorisation. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, learning style, and confidence to ensure explanations are clear and effective. I use a step-by-step teaching method, beginning with core concepts and gradually moving on to exam-style questions. Lessons are interactive, with guided practice, regular checks for understanding, and targeted feedback to address weaknesses and reinforce strengths. I also focus on exam technique and common GCSE mistakes to help students maximise marks. Lessons typically last 60 minutes, though this can be adjusted depending on the student’s needs and concentration. All lessons are delivered online. I achieved grade 9s in GCSE Biology, Chemistry, and Maths and am currently studying A-Level Biology, Chemistry, and Maths, giving me up-to-date knowledge of the GCSE specifications and exam requirements. My lessons are suitable for GCSE students who want to improve their understanding, confidence, and performance in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths.
