About Aniel Paul

My name is Aniel Paul, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and a Summa Cum Laude graduate in Accountancy. I have professional experience auditing Australian and Philippine entities across various industries, including listed and not-for-profit organizations. I am currently a Senior Auditor and have also served as a university Accounting Instructor, teaching financial and advanced financial accounting.

My academic excellence, board certification, and real-world audit experience allow me to teach beyond theory. I help students understand how accounting standards are applied in actual financial statement preparation and professional practice.

I take punctuality, preparation, and professionalism seriously. Each session is structured, goal-oriented, and tailored to the student’s level — whether university coursework or CPA board exam preparation. I maintain a respectful and supportive learning environment where questions are encouraged and critical thinking is developed.

About the lesson

My name is Aniel Paul, and my approach to teaching accounting is simple: understand the logic first, memorize last.
Many students struggle because they treat accounting as a collection of rules. I teach it as a system. Every standard, journal entry, and disclosure exists for a reason. When students understand the “why,” board-type questions become easier to analyze rather than guess.

My teaching method is structured but interactive. I begin by explaining the concept clearly and linking it to real-world audit and financial reporting experience. Then we solve progressively challenging problems, including CPA board-style questions. I focus heavily on financial statement preparation, adjustments, and common traps examiners use. I also teach students how to manage time and structure solutions efficiently during exams.

A typical lesson includes concept discussion, guided problem solving, independent practice, and quick recall drills. I provide summary frameworks to help students organize topics like revenue recognition, leases, consolidation, and provisions.
