About Catherine

I am dedicated to making French clear, practical, and enjoyable for learners of all levels! I have experience coaching children as well as volunteering with more vulnerable populations, and I strongly value patience and empathy in my teaching. I will tailor each lesson to your goals and style. My structured approach, that I have myself learned and polished through years of schooling in Quebec, will help you progress with confidence and motivation.

About the lesson

My aim is to make French accessible and enjoyable for you. I implement approaches such as conversation-based learning around real-life scenarios, grammar-based learning, and pronunciation coaching. Each lesson will have a clear structure: First, a quick 5-minute review of previous material through conversation and mini-exercises. Then, around 25 minutes of core vocabulary, grammar, listening, and other activities based on your needs and level. The remaining 20 minutes will be dedicated to practice and applications of concepts, followed by feedback and takeaways that the student can use to improve on their own time. These lessons are for anyone-beginners, intermediate learners, and more advanced students!
