About Jonida
I have always loved learning new things in school and I have loved teaching even when I was younger I would pretend to be a teacher at home!
When I teach, I always make sure that my students feel safe and comfortable when they are learning. That is always my top priority. I am understanding and caring about the well-being of my students and I understand that my students learn in different ways and have different home lives. Growing up on a council estate myself and having parents who struggled with English, I am aware that all students have different starting points in their learning and I always give my students equal chances to succeed regardless of their background.

I use different approaches in lessons depending on the student's learning needs. I use visual, concrete and auditory resources to help make lessons more easy to understand and I include a different range of activities to make lessons fun and enjoyable. The normal length of a lesson is 45 minutes to one hour but I am more than happy with adapting the length of time for each lesson depending on the learning and progress.
I am in my final year of university where I am training to be a primary school teacher. I have tutored previously for one year and a half where I would plan and prepare lessons for different subjects. I have also worked in a special needs school where I was a teaching assistant.
My lessons are usually for primary aged children from Reception to Year 6.
