About Gilbert
Hello! I feel delighted when I can help people and I am best at doing that through the subjects that I love learning about: Maths, Biology and Chemistry. I'm glad to say I achieved 9s in all three subjects at GCSE and AAB during my A-levels, and whilst I mainly study Biology in third year, my degree in Natural Sciences allowed me to study all three at the beginning. Through working as a barista, bartender and waiter I learnt that I love communicating and speaking with different people and learning new skills. Recently I became qualified to instruct people how to scuba dive, this has given me practice for helping and directing people to gain skills. So when tutoring for GCSE and A-level, I bring those skills together to effectively help people through important, stressful and difficult challenges.

My lessons are about gaining an understanding of the key techniques directly involved in the exams. I give straightforward and careful explanations on concepts and examples before my students tackle problems at a range of difficulty, by giving feedback and adapting the lessons to the students' specific needs, this approach feeds effectively into strong exam results.
