About Matthew
I am currently studying Chemistry at the University of Manchester, and am competent at mathematics up to A-Level standard. As a result, I am confident in enabling my tutees to understand what exam boards are really looking for and allowing my students to achieve maximum marks. Due to my passion for these subjects, I will be able to inspire motivation and interest for these subjects in those that I tutor.

My lesson content is decided by my students. We will start with whatever content they feel least confident with and build from there. We will only ever move at their own pace, as they do not need any extra pressure put on them, I'm sure their schools have that covered.
I include lots of exam practice and examples in my lessons, so when it comes to their exams, my students feel well-equipped both with knowledge and exam technique (both are equally as important). They would have seen the topics we cover in a variety of contexts, so they should be confident with anything an exam might throw at them.
Every student is different, and so my approach to teaching will vary to cater to each student's learning. For example, if a student is a visual learner, I will provide more written examples to help them. However, if they are an auditory learner, I will have greater emphasis on my explanations verbally.
I typically tutor each student for 1 hour lessons a week, and I tutor GCSE and A-Level mathematics and chemistry.
